  12. Basic Requirements: 
  13.  
  14.    - Processor (minimum, these are recommendations only):
  15.           Video receive only: 386SX 
  16.           Video send & receive: 386DX 
  17.           Video receive w/Audio: 486SX 
  18.           Video send & receive w/Audio: 486DX 
  19.    - Windows 3.1 or higher running in Enhanced Mode. 
  20.    - A Windows Sockets compliant TCP/IP stack, known as Winsock. 
  21.    - A 256 color (8 bit) video driver at any resolution 
  22.        (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, or higher).  
  23.  
  24. To send and receive video you'll also need: 
  25.  
  26.    - Video capture board that supports Microsoft Video For Windows.
  27.    - A video camera to plug into the video capture board. 
  28.  
  29. To send & receive audio you'll also need: 
  30.  
  31.    - A Windows Sound board that conforms to the Windows MultiMedia 
  32.        Specification (Sound Blaster or better). Full Duplex audio is very 
  33.        desirable.
  34.    - Speakers (or headphones) and a microphone.

  39. CU-SEEMe for Windows.  Thanks to those to posted and replied by emails.
  40. If you have tested a board that work with CU-SEEme and it's not on this
  41. list, please email me with your information.  I'll try to periodically post

  176.               However, there is an email campaign to urge MediaVision to

  178.               support CuSeeMe.  Email to Jim Patton at techmain@mediavis.com
  179.               and tell him, you would to like see ProMovie Studio/Spectrum 
  180.               work with Cu-SeeMe.

  348. The following winsock stacks have been found to work with CU-SeeMe:

  356. The following winsock stacks have had problems:

  358. * Beame and Whiteside - does not work at all.
  359. * LWP - Lan WorkPlace for DOS - Many people have had problems.  We
  360.   received the following report about an IMPORTANT configuration detail
  361.   required for CU-SeeMe.  In the NET.CFG file you can specify the number
  362.   of sockets for TCP and UDP.  You must change this number to 30 or less
  363.   in order for CU-SeeMe to work:

  371. Sound Cards:

  373. The 'Internal Speaker Driver' will NOT work.  Also, it NEVER will in the 
  374. future for technical reasons.
  375.  
  376. As far as I know, any sound card system will work with CU-SeeMe.  We only
  377. use the low lever services and don't require anything special of the system.
  378. We use 8 kHz 8-bit format.
  379.  
  380. However, full duplex audio is desireable so you can speak and listen
  381. simultaneously.  The following cards are full duplex (according to reports) 
  382. and have been reported to work with CU-SeeMe:
